Having been involved in social care for over ten years, it is in that spirit that I work with vulnerable people – the many residents that can’t leave the house or find it difficult to access providers for home support as well as ear and hearing healthcare.
There has always been a big demand in Frome and surrounding villages like Beckington, Rode and Buckland Dinham for my services providing tailored home support to the frail and elderly who require assistance to live independently in their home. COVID highlighted the significant struggle which many patients experience due to the urgent situation of limited access to primary care within the area of ear health care. The Tympa system, which I have been using since 2021, provides me with compact, digital and portable technology which allows me to bring ear health screening to your home, remove excess or impacted earwax and document your hearing health – all in an appointment lasting 30-60 minutes.
The best thing for me is receiving the effusive thanks of a patient when I have relieved their symptoms after microsuction earwax removal!
